Rare but possibly under recorded.
Dryopteris carthusiana is rare on Skye. In Rodwell (ed.) (1991) it occurs as a minor component of the W4b community however although this community has been recorded from several places in southern Skye D. carthusiana has not been recorded inn any of the vegetational relevés I have seen.
