This hybrid between Polystichum aculeatum and P. setiferum, found at the foot of an old wall at Torrin, is rather a mystery plant as P. setiferum has only been recorded at the Storr Lochs (NG 55); it could of course be in somebody's garden. The plant was no longer there in June 2005.
